Wooferendum – barking out against Brexit

Thousands of dog parents and their pooches are planning to march through central London to Parliament on Sunday 7th October as part of the Wooferendum, a march intended to “bark out against Brexit”.

“Dogs were never consulted about Brexit,” says organiser Daniel Elkan to the Londog blog. “It’s only fair that they should be given a say – particularly when it seems that us humans are making a dogs dinner of the whole thing. The Wooferendum campaign is very much ‘By the dogs, for the people.’”

You might find it silly puppy business, but already 1,200 people has expressed interest on Facebook only. The campaign has also raised over £3,800 on Crowdfunder. Organisers are expecting thousands of dog parents to join the march.

Here’re the main details of the Wooferendum:

12:00: GATHER IN WATERLOO PLACE, SW1Y 4BE
12:45: WALK TO PARLIAMENT SQUARE
13:45: ARRIVE AT PARLIAMENT SQUARE
