London has its fair share of dog-friendly venues and events, and East London offers up some gems for those who prefer to share their leisure time with their pet.

Need a place to grab a pint after a thirst-inducing stroll with your doggie? The Clapton Hart is near the Hackney Marshes. Finish off your walk with a visit to this pub, which dates to the 18th Century, 1722 to be precise. There’s a large beer garden and plenty of craft ales.

The Allegory is billed as an “everyday escape in London’s buzzing un-square mile”. It offers lingering brunches, quick catch-ups over pastries and freshly ground coffee, sharing platters, cocktails and more. There’s an alfresco terrace and large, open-plan bar. Dogs are welcome – they even receive their own stylish drinking bowl.
